Unity Sunday Weekly – January 12 2025

The Unity Sunday Weekly is our most popular weekly event!
Join us every Sunday at 2:15 PM for the Unity Sunday Weekly, a four-round Swiss tournament designed to challenge and inspire chess players of all levels!
Tournament Details:
Sections: Open & U1400
Time Control: G/30;+5 (30 minutes + 5-second increment)
Location: 985 W Chandler Heights Ste 2, Chandler, AZ 85248
Entry Fee: $25 (or 1 unit)
USCF Rated: Current USCF membership required. USCF rules apply. Notation required for all sections.

Open Section(based on 20 paid entries):
1st: 100$
2nd: 60$
3rd: 40$
Best U1600: Chess Book
U1400 Section:
1st: Chess Trophy
2nd: Chess Trophy
3rd: Chess Trophy
Best U1000: Chess Trophy
Best U600: Chess Trophy

Champion of the Year
The Champion of the Year title will be awarded to players who have accumulated the most points throughout the calendar year in our Unity Open tournaments. Top 10 players in each section will be awarded a Big Trophy for their outstanding performance throughout the year.
Top Player in each section will also receive the following cash prizes:
- Open: $200
- U1400: $150
